You only have one body!

I overcame a big challenge today.

Every teenager has to get injections to protect them from things like cancer.

Well, a few years back I had my first injection to protect me.

But last year, I was supposed to get a few more.

Being afraid of needles makes it difficult to get injections, so I put it off for over a year.

However, today when my dad and I went to visit my mum at work, she managed to somehow get me to have the injections I missed out on.

I was only going to have two injections but my mum convinced me to get the third.

Three injections in a row!

Luckily for me, my mum has some great friends, one of which was doing my injections.

It really didn't hurt!

I pulled my arm out of my sleeve and turned to face my mum so I couldn't see the needle.

It was so quick I barely noticed!

I don't manage pain very well, so when I say it didn't hurt, it really didn't!

People tend to make it seem more painful than it is.

They well always say things like "Ooh I feel sick!" or "I think I'm going to faint!".

Don't listen to those people.

They are the ones who want attention, don't let someone else making something a bigger deal than it is make you scared to do it yourself.

If there is any teenagers reading this, get your injections done.

Once they're done you're safe and protected from things like cancer.

Protect your body because you only have one!
