A woodland walk ended in mud caked boots.

My family, my dog and I went on a weekly Friday walk.

The walk is through a wooded area, with a few paved trails.

We like to see a leaning tree - that still hasn't fallen down, even with all the wind and rain - the horses that live in a field next door and all the other dogs enjoying their muddy walk.

I have already posted a blog about this walk of when some people driving by waved back!

Like most people with autism or sensory, I enjoy the sound or feel of certain things others may not.

One of these things being, walking through squishy mud.

I enjoy the feel of the ground squishing beneath my feet, the sound of the mud squelching when i pick up my boots and the way it looks when you walk through it.

So, naturally when walking through something sticky and muddy, my boots got caked in mud.

My dog got caked in mud too, because he decided he'd follow me through to see what all the fuss is about.

I think he likes the mud too because he kept walking through it!

My mum and my sister were hesitant about walking through something so gross and icky.

I'm surprised I didn't need a bath myself by the end of it, though I might as well have taken one with how wet i got bathing my dog.

But next time you see squishy mushy mud, I recommend you walk through it.

Unless you'll ruin your shoes!
