My head won't shut up!!

My head does not shut up!!

I'm wondering if any of you can relate?

What I mean is, when I'm trying to sleep my mind will do anything to keep that from happening.

I told my dad 'It's like cutting an apple in half, then spinning one half but holding still the other half.'

Does that make any sense at all?

Imagine half of your brain doing nothing while the other half does everything.

But now add the factor of your brain supposed to be doing nothing, because you're trying to sleep.

That's the best way I can explain it.

I hope that makes at least a tiny bit of sense?
